DAHLONEGA – No. 3 University of North Georgia (UNG) men's golf head coach Bryson Worley has been named a finalist for the 2025 NCAA Division II Dave Williams National Coach of the Year Award the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Friday.

The Williams Award honors the national coach of the year in NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, NJCAA Division I, and NJCAA Division II men's golf.

Worley has led the Nighthawks to yet another outstanding season after being named the first National Coach of the Year in program history in 2024.

UNG has posted four victories in the 2025 campaign and has finished outside of the top 3 just twice in 11 events this season.

After a historic, 24-stroke victory at the 2025 NCAA South/Southeast Regional, the Nighthawks punched their ticket to the NCAA DII Men's Golf Championship for the fourth consecutive season.

Worley's team is highlighted by four PING All-Region selections this year in graduate student Jack Vajda, seniors Ethan Day and Hughes Threlkeld and sophomore Colby Bennett. 2025 marks the first time in program history the Nighthawks have had four all-region selections in one season.

After a National Runner-Up finish last season, UNG looks to hoist the National Championship trophy for the first time in program history next week.

The Nighthawks will begin stroke play in the 2025 NCAA Men's Golf Championship at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. on Monday, May 19. UNG will tee off at 10:26 a.m.
