Nighthawks Post Three Podium Finishes At PBC Championship
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The University of North Georgia (UNG) women's track & field team competed in the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Championship in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Five Nighthawks finished in the top 5 of their respective events in the conference title meet.
Senior Ella Stoudenmire headlined the meet with a pair of podium finishes. The two-time women's 800-meter champion finished in second place in this year's event with a 2:12.80 time.
Stoudenmire then finished on the podium in her second event of the year with a third-place finish in the 4:49.11 time in the women's 1500m.
Stoudenmire has now finished on the podium in six conference championship events in her career.
Senior Anna Chasteen also landed on the podium in the Women's 3000m Steeplechase. She came in third place with an 11:16.20 time. The performance marked Chasteen's first podium appearance in her career at the PBC Championship.
Senior Ny'Asia Green earned the fifth podium finish of her career on Tuesday. The Martinez, Ga. native finished second place in the triple jump as she leapt 11.02m. Green has now finished on the podium in the triple jump in all three appearances of her career at the conference championship.
Also finishing in the top 5 in the event was senior Sophia Alexander who ran a 1:08.18 time in the 400m for a fifth-place standing. This was Alexander's first career appearance in the PBC Championship after transferring from Thomas University.
The Nighthawks also finished in fourth place as a team in the 4x400m relay race behind a 4:08.39 time from Alexander, Stoudenmire and freshmen Aubrey Dishman and Katelyn Harper.
UNG now has one meet left this season May 10-11 in Cleveland, Tenn. at the Lee Last Chance Meet.
