No. 15 UNG In Second Place Ahead Of Final Round In PBC Championship

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The No. 15 University of North Georgia (UNG) women's golf team currently sits in third place of the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Championship after two rounds at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The No. 15 University of North Georgia (UNG) women's golf team currently sits in third place of the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Championship after two rounds at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.

UNG is 17 shots back of first place No. 21 Lander and six shots ahead of third place No. 2 Flagler. 

Three different Nighthawk golfers reside in the top 10 on the individual leaderboard, led by freshman Ellie Jane Riner in fourth place.

Riner carded a 1-over 73 for UNG's best round of the day on Saturday. With a 76 on Friday and her 71 Saturday, Riner is five shots back of first place among the 34 individuals in the event.

Senior Jadin Ware is also in the top 10 in sixth place at 7-over for the tournament after a 6-over 78 on day two. Ware tied Riner for the most birdies on the day as she birdied a pair of holes on the back nine of the par-72, 6,123-yard course.

Junior Cora Mount shot a 4-over 76 on Saturday which puts her in eighth place by herself in the field. 

Sophomore Abby Franks is in 13th place after a 6-over 78 on Saturday as well.

The Nighthawks will tee off at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday in the final round of the tournament. The final group heads out on the course at 10:18 a.m. 

UNG is in search of its first ever PBC Championship in program history.
