UNG Honored With 2024-25 PBC Sports Information Staff of the Year Award
HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The University of North Georgia was awarded the 2024-25 Peach Belt Conference Sports Information Staff of the Year Award at the league's annual awards dinner in Hilton Head, S.C. Tuesday night.
UNG earned the PBC SID Staff of the Year Award for the second time in program history and the first time since 2019 with the accolade on Tuesday.
The Nighthawk storytelling staff was guided in the award-winning year by Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations/Chief Communications Officer Lee Glenn, Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and Marketing Morgan May, Director of Athletic Communications Brendan Schabath and Director of Creative Services David Trotter, all of whom were honored at Tuesday's dinner. Schabath was present to receive the award.
UNG had a standout academic year in 2024-25. The Nighthawks hosted PBC Championship events in men's and women's cross country, women's soccer, women's basketball, men's and women's golf, softball and baseball.
In addition to hosting conference championships, UNG also hosted NCAA regional championships in women's basketball, women's golf, women's tennis and softball.
All postseason events along with every Nighthawk regular-season event was hosted under the guidance of the UNG Sports Information Staff with the assistance of a large base of student workers and the Voice of the Nighthawk Sports Network Craig Corbin. Coverage of such events were hosted live on the Nighthawk Sports Network, UNGAthletics.com and North Georgia's expansive social media network on Facebook, X/Twitter and Instagram.
