Three Runners Named To 2025 PBC Team of Academic Distinction

DAHLONEGA – The Peach Belt Conference announced its women's track & field Team of Academic Distinction for the 2024-25 academic year Thursday. The University of North Georgia had three student-athletes named to the team.

DAHLONEGA – The Peach Belt Conference announced its women's track & field Team of Academic Distinction for the 2024-25 academic year Thursday. The University of North Georgia had three student-athletes named to the team.

To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility. The Peach Belt Conference Sports Information Directors oversee the program.

Junior Elizabeth Padilla Brun made her second consecutive appearance on the Team of Academic Distinction after earning the honor for the first time in her career last season.

Senior Zoe Ordway did the same as she made her second career appearance on the list Thursday. 

Senior Ella Stoudenmire earned the fourth Team of Academic Distinction honor of her career with the announcement. Stoudenmire has now earned six different academic awards in her career. 

With three selections to the team this year, UNG women's track & field has now gone eight straight years with three or more student-athletes named to the PBC Team of Academic Distinction or All-Academic Team.
